On Friday the Long Sox traveled to Johnson Park to take on the New Ulm Brewers for the Region 2C Championship. The Sox bats came alive early and often, pounding out 17 hits In addition, Shane Schoborg baffled the Brewer batters in a comlete game shutout, allowing only 4 hits in the 10-0 7-inning Long Sox victory. With the win the Sox receive a first round by in the State Tournament and will play on Friday, August 28 at 7:30 in Springfield.
